Who are we and where are we now, no doubt, it is the fault of Thales. People during his time did not know how to think but follow the mythic thinking. Everything was associated with Gods such as thunder, earthquake, floods and the like.
With Thales inquisitive mind set the world into non-mythic thinking. He investigated everything under the sun and tried to explain that everything undergoes a natural process. Gods and goddesses are not the primary cause of events. As a proof, he was able to predict the coming eclipse in his time. Some said he was a god. But his ability to predict was a product of his rigid studies.
Blame Thales for without him, our life is simpler.
